No pacemaker needed???

As usual, the doctor came in this morning to check Lizzie's heart pacing. We were surprised to hear that Lizzie's heart block has gone away and her heart is pacing on its own! She's attached to the pacemaker only for "backup". This was not the case yesterday, because her pacemaker came unintentionally disconnected and her heart stopped for a few seconds. That was a big scare for all of us! Things were quickly resolved after a bunch of doctors & nurses ran into the room. Kristen and I were shaken up the rest of the day.
Lizzie will be monitored in the ICU for probably a few more days. We still don't know which day next week we can come home.
Praise God for his mysterious and wonderful ways! This latest development is truly another answer to many prayers. We feel upheld by so many family and friends who pray and support us. After yesterday's scare we are challenged to continue to entrust our daughter's life to the Lord and his perfect will. We are giving him all the praise for this latest good news.

  2. PRAISE THE LORD - Miracles do happen. I was praying yesterday and last night that no surgery would be needed for the pacemaker on Friday and again the Lord shows his powers in our lives.
