The surgeon pays a visit
Dr. Del Nido checked in on Lizzie a few minutes ago. He's quite pleased with her progress. He would like the chest drainage tubes to be removed sometime today. Since they are in close proximity to her heart-pacing wires, a surgeon-fellow will perform the removal procedure.
Elizabeth (Lizzie) was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect while in utero. She has "Tetralogy of Fallot" with a small right ventricle. God has been so faithful and she hasn't needed surgery for almost a year. But we've set up this blog to keep everyone posted on her status as we head to Boston for surgery on July 22nd.
Gary and Kristen, this is good news again. At one point, tell your readers what this whole experience is leading you to know about God?
