The team just removed Lizzie's ventilator tube. She got mad for a bit, which was good, because we knew she could fight and breathe on her own. It took just a few seconds to remove the tube, and now she's resting comfortably and quietly. If she does well in 4 hours or so, she should be able to start eating, and I know she is HUNGRY!

Off the Tube!
The team just removed Lizzie's ventilator tube. She got mad for a bit, which was good, because we knew she could fight and breathe on her own. It took just a few seconds to remove the tube, and now she's resting comfortably and quietly. If she does well in 4 hours or so, she should be able to start eating, and I know she is HUNGRY!
